Bio

Blue-Screen are a Dutch funk rock band, formed in Heerhugowaard, the Netherlands, in 2005. After some changes in formation, the band now consists of Wander Theunis (vocals & bass), Tim Kroon (guitar), Daniël Doorman (guitar) and Ruben Addie (drums).

Inspired and influenced by bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Funkadelic, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Sly & The Family Stone, The Meters and Urban Dance Squad, as well as more pop-oriented artists like John Mayer and Coldplay, Blue-Screen brings you a joyful blend of hard rocking funk and mellow pop rock.

In August, 2007, the band recorded their first demo, Kurk. A second EP, The Day Off Demo, was released in December, 2008.

Blue-Screen have won prizes in a number of local talent shows, namely the Trinitas College's Grote Prijs, Live in Obdam and Popmania.

As of 2010, the band are working on their first full-length album.

Former band members are David Molenaar (vocals, 2005-2007) and Chris Wever (bass, 2005-2009).
